DESCRIPTION:Hit Comic Con returns to Largs \nComic-mania has been sweeping the country of late\, as a series of Comic Con events celebrating comics\, fantasy and cosplay have been taking place all over Scotland. The Big Glasgow Comic Page has been spearheading the movement touring Glasgow and now returns to Largs for it’s second year and in it’s new venue The Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre \nThe event takes place from 10am – 4pm and will feature over 60 traders\, cosplayers like Iron Man\, Batman\, Chewbacca\, activities for all ages from tots to adults\, as well as a series of guest appearances from Writers and Artists from Marvel\, DC\, Image and 2000ad Comics. \nThe BGCP will be present at the Largs Yuletide night to promote the event and sell discounted tickets to the attendees. \nThe event is suitable for all ages. Saturday 14th April\, 11am-5pm. \nA whole day in Paisley’s stunning Town Hall dedicated to celebrating and enjoying the art and culture of comic books\, exploring and discovering new and exciting comic creations\, and showcasing a range of local Scottish creative talent. \nWriters\, artists\, publishers\, as well as over 50 tables of comics\, books\, toys\, collectibles\, arts\, crafts and creators. We’ll also have comicbook panels\, workshops\, cosplay\, games and activities\, and lots of family fun! \n​Paisley has had a long and rich relationship with comic books over the years\, but it has been a number of decades since the last comics event took place here. With Paisley emerging as a hub of cultural events and festivals\, now is the perfect time for comics to have their own special day right at home in Paisley’s beautiful Town Hall. \nIn addition to the full day’s Convention\, we are also hosting a series of FREE events in the days leading up to the 14th April – if you’d like to get involved with offering opportunities for creating\, learning\, reading\, meeting\, and having fun with comics – get in touch!
